Radiobiological rationale for RT–drug interaction
Radiosensitizing via vascular normalization (↓hypoxia, ↓RT-induced VEGF/edema) (Subudhi et al., Cell, 2026; Kanthou and Tozer, British Journal of Radiology, 2019). As a VEGF-pathway agent, the same non-selective endothelial effect provides a rationale for increased vascular normal-tissue adverse events (GI perforation/fistula, impaired healing, possible radionecrosis) analogous to bevacizumab.

drugs from other classes.
