Radiobiological rationale for RT–drug interaction
Immunologically synergistic ("in situ vaccine"), not a DNA-level sensitizer (Sharabi et al., Lancet Oncology, 2015; Lu and Deng, Journal of Clinical Investigation, 2026). The principal theoretical added risk is immune/inflammatory rather than classic in-field injury—overlap of radiation-induced inflammation with checkpoint-mediated immune activation provides a rationale for potentiated pneumonitis (with thoracic RT) and other immune-related organ adverse events(colitis, hepatitis).
Data on this page refer exclusively to patients treated with
Dostarlimab combined with SBRT, without concurrent use of
drugs from other classes.
Combination therapy data and pooled group-level evidence are available on the
Anti-PD-(L)1 mAb group page.
