Radiobiological rationale for RT–drug interaction
Immunologically radiosensitizing (depletes/reprograms protective M2 TAMs), not a DNA-level sensitizer (Almahariq et al., In Vivo, 2021; Barry et al., Nature Reviews Cancer, 2023). No in-field DNA sensitization; the relevant class caution is hepatological adverse events rather than radiation-side-effects potentiation.
