Radiobiological rationale for RT–drug interaction
Expected radiosensitizing on the MEK/BRAF basis (suppressed RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK radioresistance and DNA repair) (Lesperance et al., Advanced Science, 2026). By analogy to BRAF/MEK inhibitors, and because ERK-pathway suppression also affects normal proliferating epithelium, a theoretical increase in in-field cutaneous/visceral adverse events is plausible.
